The Lawley Art Auction is a win-win-win situation for the
Artists wanting a great sales and exposure opportunity,
Buyers looking for great artworks from prominent WA artists and
Students benefitting from the extra funds (equipment and training).
Over the 9-year history of the Lawley Art Auction, a total of 833 artworks have been offered for sale with 630 (76%) being sold. The total value of the sales is $340,000. This has pumped over $143,000 into the Music and Arts, helping to lift Mount Lawley Senior High School to be a premiere school of choice.
2012 - Saturday 16 June
Andrew Venn led the committee which included Chani Crow, Dennis and Claudine Bates, Donna Hart-Venn, Gary Cockroft, Jo Parker, Joanna Fugl, John Paterson, John Pryor, Julie Parker, Kay Oates, Kay Raymond, Kerri Bland, Mary Greenshields, Marye Wade, Melanie Wood, Milton Cocks, Moss Johnson, Nonie Jekabsons, Prue Griffin, Russell Goodrick, Sharon Cockroft, Sonja Davidson, Sue Faranda, Terry Fay, Vanessa Lombardo and Zoe Hotker. Media personality and master of ceremonies Russell Goodrick introduced the VIP speaker, Ms Amy Barrett-Lennard, Director of Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA). John Cook of WA Art Auctions was back for the seventh time as the auctioneer. Quinn Hart won the People's Choice Award with 'Peregrine Falcon' (Lot 24)
95 items were offered by 64 artists with net sales of $48,936. From this, $23,255 was used to support the Music and SVAPA Committees.

2011 - Saturday 25 June

John Cook of WA Art Auctions was back for the sixth time as the auctioneer. Lindy Boyle won the People's Choice Award with 'Fuscian' (Lot 74).

Media personality and master of ceremonies Russell Goodrick introduced the VIP speaker, Mr David Hawkes former ABC News Presenter and active supporter of the P&C (former President). John Cook of WA Art Auctions was back for the fifth time as the auctioneer. Leon Pericles won the People's Choice Award with 'It's Only Rock and Roll but I like It'.

John Cook of WA Art Auctions was back for the fourth time as the auctioneer. Jodie Ditchburn won the People's Choice Award with 'Tim & T/Bone'.
86 items were offered by 54 artists with net sales of $53,420. From this, $20,576.88 was used to support the Music and SVAPA Committees. This was the first year that the auction was held in the larger Senior School Building.

100 items were offered by 47 artists with net sales of $43,340. From this, $16,888 was used to support the Music and SVAPA committees. Some of this money was used toward the purchase of a timpani and other musical equipment for the music students and some towards supporting of the 2008 China Music Tour.

2005 - Friday 10 June
This was the first combined effort of the Music Support Committee and the SVAPA Support Committee. Once again Sue Charlick led the now greatly-expanded committee which included Suzie Barnes, Cat Hope, Helen Little, Lawrence Marshall, Gabby Mazalevskis, Ros Miles, Christine Richardson, Julie Kernutt Catherine Smith, Sophie Vanzetti, Celia & Rob Walker. The eminent David Hawkes was the Master of Ceremonies. Ian Flanagan of GFL Fine Art Auctions weilded the gavel.
96 items were offered by 48 artists with net sales of $25,400. From this, $10,600 was used to support the Music and SVAPA committees. The funds raised were committed to costs associated with sending students on tour to Singapore in 2006. For the first time, the event was been held in the recently completed Specialist Teaching facilities in the redeveloped School.

2004 - Friday 11 June
The first Art Auction started as an initiative of the Music Support Committee. Sue Charlick (convenor of the Music Support Committee) led the inaugural committee which included Paul Charlick, Gabby Mazalevskis, Christine Richardson, Julie Kernutt and Rob Walker. David Hawkes was the Master of Ceremonies of choice. Diana Warnock opened the auction and Brad Buckle of Ross's Auctioneers and Valuers wielded the gavel.
84 items were offered by 41 artists with net sales of $9,385. $5,500 was used to support music students on tour to Sydney (Chamber Orchestra) in late June 2004 or to New Zealand (The Senior Band and Blues Band) in July 2004. The inaugural event was held in the Staff Room.
