| Allan Darby | Painting has been Allan Darby's passion since childhood. At retirement age he had more time to devote to his hobby. He has exhibited in many venues and galleries and has been involved in the MLSHS Art Auction for the last 5 years. |
| Allan Mitchell | Allan Mitchell's artist mother encouraged him to start painting upon his retirement in 1992. He has exhibited in Albany, Bayswater, Dalwallinu and Moora as well as various other art shows. As a "Friend of Ellis House" foundation member Allan had a successful solo show at Ellis House in 2008 where his works in pencil, watercolour, acrylic and oil were on display. Allan's paintings have found homes in New Zealand, Singapore and throughout Australia. |
| Alma Hotchkin | Alma Hotchkin studied Commercial Art at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and holds diplomas in Art Studies and Printmaking. She has spent many years painting with oils, watercolours, pastels and dyes. Alma is a member of the Perth Society of Artists, WA Society of Arts and the Bayswater Art Society. She exhibits regularly showing in both solo and group exhibitons. |
| Aurelie Yeo | Perth born WA artist Aurelie Yeo has become well known for her treatment of the local landscape and her sensitive portraits, both detailed studio and portrait sketches, in various media. She has travelled throughout WA and NT and Antarctica on various painting trips, some of which have been the inspiration for 19 solo exhibitions. She has conducted painting and drawing courses and workshops and has participated in over one hundred invitation exhibitions. |
| Bronwyn Waipuka | Bronwyn Waipuka is a New Zealand born self-taught artist currently based in Perth, Australia. Of Maori descent with tribal affiliations to the Ngati Kahungunu, Ngati Porou and Rangitane, her artwork is an expression of her thoughts, ideas and life experiences. Subject matter can vary from one painting to another depending on what motivates and inspires her at the time.

| Carmen Cilliers | Carmen Cillier's work is mainly biographical and reflects her personal and interpersonal experiences and relationships. She is greatly influenced by her love of nature, animals and the sights and sounds experienced on her travels. Her work is continually evolving and she remains open to experimentation of both medium and subject matter. |
| Charles (Jana) Benjafield | Charles Benjafield's primary source of inspiration is the interior landscape. Charles says of his own work, "I don't paint what I see, I paint what I feel, think and imagine. I have no specific style. The visual quality of the work I produce is dependent on the idea or emotion I am trying to express."

| Charles Warren | Charles Warren studied art and teaching at Curtin University and has worked as a teacher for the last 17 years. |
| Christine Blowfield | As a pastel and acrylic artist, Christine Blowfield enjoys subjects that show depth of perspective and good colour values. Colour is a huge part of her work and she hopes to portray depth and distance. Christine also tries to vary her subjects from animals to landscapes. |
| David Grant | David Grant has successfully exhibited around WA and was Artist-in-Residence at the QV1 building in Perth in August/September from 2004-2007 to celebrate Spring and Tulip Week. In 2009-10, he self-published three art books in the Bodies on the Lines series. | Delma White | Delma White was raised in Mt Barker where her love for native flora and rural life began. She has exhibited throughout WA over the last 10 years, winning prizes and selling her work. Delma's paintings have been acquired by many regional businesses for their representation of rural life. Her great love is to paint rare orchids in oils.

| Di Taylor | Di Taylor started her art career at the National Art School in Sydney at the age of 17. This year she has been invited to exhibit in London and many local events including as Artist-in-Residence at His Majesty's Theatre Perth, Love Angel Foundation exhibition and the Breast Cancer Foundation. 'Where you can run forever' is an indulgence of large space and freedom to allow for endless possibilities. The two children march in synch along the water's edge, bringing us back to an innocent time and scale. |
| Diane Bastick | Diane Bastick is a member of the Wanneroo Art Society and the North Coast Art Club. Her paintings have been entered in exhibitions within WA and have had success with sales of her artwork. Her inspiration comes from the many land and seascapes of Australia, in particular our beautiful oceans and stunning outback. |
| Doreen Byrne | Born in Onslow, the endless space and isolation of the Northern and inland areas of WA has always been an inspiration for Doreen Byrne's art. The Salt Lakes in the landscape have always fascinated her. The dichotomy of soft colour and harsh environment so deadly, yet so eerily beautiful. Painting of the Salt Lake Series was completed following a holiday in the central and eastern areas of the Pilbara. |
| Doug Collis | Doug Collis spent a large slice of his life working in outback Australia and used his love of nature to combat loneliness by painting and sketching. On retiring he moved to a coastal town and turned his hobby to raising money for underfunded community organizations. In the early 90s Doug organized and participated in annual exhibitions for Lancelin Silver Chain with all the proceeds going to Silver Chain. |
| Dr. Drewfus Gates | Dr. Drewfus Gates, a professional artist for 27 years, is the winner of over 100 art awards including a 5 time finalist in the Moran National Portrait Award. Painting in oils, pastels and watercolours, his powerful use of light and colour and his realist/impressionist style has made him a well known WA artist. |
| Eli Zagoria | Eli Zagoria has over seventy years of making a living from his art. He is a multi-award winning artist and successful exhibitor at all of the major Western Australian exhibitions. He spent ten years as a court portrait artist and is a Life Member of the Bayswater Art Society. Eli is still painting and exhibiting in over twenty exhibitions a year and has been a regular contributor to this Auction. |
| Fleur Schell | Fleur Schell is one of Australia's leading ceramic artists. Known for conveying a quirky childlike perspective of the world through clay, Fleur is currently constructing a children's book made predominantly of Porcelain. The first page of the book is filled to the edges with fantastical buildings and man-made structures that reference iconic Australian architecture, like the corrugated iron water Tank.

| Gabrielle Mazalevskis | Gabrielle Mazalevskis is a Perth born Artist and teacher at the WA School of Art and Design. A student of Graphic Design, Theatre Design and Fine Art, she has been exhibiting since 1986 in solo, group and competition shows. Gabrielle's work is represented in various collections throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand. 'Seven Seas' was in the 'Displacement and Belonging' Exhibition in 2009 which featured WA artists of Latvian descent. |
| Greg Ash | Greg is a glass artist and has spent many years perfecting the production of dichroic glass, where glass is fired with metallic atoms and imbued with breathtaking reflective and refractive properties. Many of Greg's past students from Mt Lawley Primary School attend MLSHS. |
| Jane Ryan | Two years have passed since Jane Ryan was first introduced to abstract painting and what a journey! The move from mosaic sculpture and ceramics which was her life for 9 years and has led her to exhibit in local art awards, participate in a joint exhibition and also bring pleasure to family and friends through her paintings. This is Jane's second year as a contributor to the MLSHS Art Auction and she hopes you enjoy her creativity. |
| Janine Cairnes | Janine Cairnes is a self-taught artist and has been painting for 15 years since retiring. She has participated in workshops in Perth, Victoria and Europe. Janine has been the recipient of several awards and has been published in "Australian Artist" magazine. She has had one solo and several group exhibitions and is held in collections in Australia and overseas. |
| Jill Yelland | Jill Yelland, designer, glass artist and serigrapher trained in Graphic Design in Perth, WA and at the prestigious School of Design, Basel, Switzerland. Jill's use of simple, strong design, bold colours and textures, produced by the kiln-carving and fusing/slumping techniques, creates unique one-off pieces but always inspired by our stunning landscapes.

| Jillian Ciemitis | Fresh from a curatorially acclaimed exhibition in Sydney, Jillian Ciemitis continues to extend her work as a photographer and artist. Winner of the Adachi Exchange Prize in 2008 and in the Town of Vincent Photographic Awards in 2009, Jillian's work has been described as having a "no fear" approach.

| Joanna Stimson | Joanna Stimson is a teacher and creator of beautiful objets d'art. She loves colour and texture. "Aphrodite" refers to the goddess emerging from the sea perhaps adorned in pearls. "Where the land meets the sea" is inspired by the red land of the NW of Australia jutting into a turquoise blue ocean. |
| John Ainsworth | John Ainsworth grew up in the wheatbelt town of Corrigin. He has been painting in watercolours for fourteen years and has been awarded over 135 prizes. |
| John Cartwright | John Cartwright first started to paint in 1971 and soon after had his first solo exhibition at the Churchill Gallery in Subiaco. Since then he has been shown in exhibitions throughout Australia and has participated in charity exhibitions at schools and colleges since 1977. John has also built up a picture framing business to help with framing his works. John has been a long time supporter of this Auction. |
| Judy Rogers | Judy Rogers was born in Hungary, moved to Perth in 1995 and works in the Blend(er) Gallery, Joondalup as a curator and has an artist studio in the Tresillian Art Centre in Nedlands. Judy has participated in more than 100 solo and group exhibitions in Western Australia and Victoria. She has worked on major public art commissions and received considerable recognition and awards. |
| Julian D. Fisher | Julian Fisher was born and educated in South Africa where he attained a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1955. He practiced in South Africa from that date and began a parallel career as an artist from 1965, participating in exhibitions soon after. Julian immigrated to Australia in 1988 and continues to exhibit nationally and internationally.

| Karen Frankel | Karen Frankel immigrated from South Africa in 1984 and considers Perth to be paradise. She has a background in IT and began her full-time artistic pursuits in 2000. She uses white acid free tissue papers which are then hand coloured using Australian made inks. The paper is then used as her palette and the images are built up through overlaying the papers. |
| Keith Hamilton | Keith Hamilton is WA born and now recognised as a skillful and dedicated artist with his beautiful paintings of floral work and landscapes. His use of vibrant colours has enabled him to win three highly commended awards in the last few months and has been published in "Australian Artist" magazine. Keith is also the Vice-President of the WA Society of Arts. Please enjoy his exciting and uplifting work. |
| Kerrie Di Cataldo | Kerrie Di Cataldo has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions and and has been the recipient of photography Art Awards from both the Town of Vincent and City of Gosnells. She holds an Associate Diploma of Arts and has lectured in photography at TAFE. She has worked in both private and public collections including TAFE- Art and Design, Holmes á Court collection and Mt Lawley Senior High School. |
| Lawrence Marshall | Lawrence Marshall has been involved with photography for over thirty years in the genres of Landscape, Actors, Publicity and Fine Art images. His freelance work includes photographs of paintings, book and record covers. Lawrence often gives tuition in photography and is represented by the Saatchi Gallery, London. |
| Leon Pericles | Well known for his creativity, wit and delightful sense of the absurd, Leon Pericles expresses many of his views of the Australian landscape and society through the fictional town of Widjimorphup. He is well published, won many awards and held numerous solo exhibitions throughout Australia and overseas. Leon's work is held in all Australian State galleries and private collections round the world. In 1989 the Western Australian State Art Gallery honoured him with a retrospective exhibition, "20 years of Printmaking".

| Lesley Meaney | Artist, teacher, curator, writer - Lesley Meaney arrived in Australia in 1969. From 1973-1983 she was head of Art at Fremantle College of TAFE and Art coordinator at Karratha College of TAFE. Lesley has had 19 solo exhibitions as well as numerous group shows nationally and internationally. She is represented in many public and private collections and has won a number of prizes and awards. |
| Maggie El-Mugheiry | Maggie El-Mugheiry's intrinsic love of drawing and appreciation of art fields has long held a place of interest in her life. She continues to strive to grow and evolve as she extracts more from the developing processes and curiosity. Maggie's artworks are held in private collections, both national and international. |
| Marie Brain | Marie Brain has been working with glass for almost 3 years, having worked more with textiles in the past. She recently exhibited at Perth College Art show with great success. Marie tends to go for bright colourful pieces. She likes the organic nature of glass because it is almost anarchic. |
| Marie Hammat | Marie Hammat loves the fact that painting calls for constant renewal and changing viewpoints in the environment while exploring colour, line and texture. Marie has participated in numerous exhibitions around WA. |
| Marilyn Boast | Marilyn Boast loves colour and paints with passion. She has studied Art at Fremantle Arts Centre and done numerous workshops. Marilyn has won a number of awards and had her own exhibitions and shows in Galleries around WA. She loves to capture people doing what they do best. |
| Martin Kidd | Martin Kidd was born in WA. He lectured in Fine Art at Claremont School of Art and Central School of Art for some 17 years. He has exhibited in many galleries in Perth in solo and group shows. He lived in Spain from 1994 to 2004 and had solo and group show in 3 galleries. Since returning in 2004, he has participated in a joint exhibition with Vivienne Peters at Monart Gallery in Dalkeith. He has also participated in numerous groups' shows. His work is in collections around the world. |
| Mecah White | Mecah White has become a successful artist although she is only in her twenties. She has won many awards and was a finalist in the 2009 Young Artist With Attidue Awards, with her painting being acquired by one of the sponsors. She is represented in the Wanneroo, Bayswater, Cambridge and South Perth art collections. Her paintings portray the effects of light and atmosphere on everyday city scenes. |
| Michael Iwanoff | Michael Iwanoff has exhibited for over 30 years in local, national and international exhibitions. His work is held in prominent national collections including the Australian National Gallery and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Michael has received numerous distinguished art awards and has been selected for major national and local contemporary art publications. |
| Mona Ketelsen | Mona is an Egyptian glass artist with a BA in Language and Literature and a Diploma in Fine Art (Painting and Print Making). She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in WA. In 2003, she opened her own gallery 'Monart Studio and Gallery' in Dalkeith. |
| Murray Gill | Murray is a former school teacher and past MLSHS student. He has been an art teacher, art reviewer and is a former Vice President of the WA Printmakers. He has his own studio and gallery and is a winner of many art prizes. He is represented in both public and private collections and has even appeared on the American NBC "Today Show". His work has strong auction resale value. |
| Narelle Manser-Smith | Narelle Manser-Smith is an award winning artist with a Bachelor of Arts and a background in education. As a visual artist, she is inspired by light and movement in nature and loves expressing these qualities through an abundance of texture. Narelle has had 6 solo exhibitions and is involved in group exhibitions throughout WA and Melbourne. Her work is represented in public and private collections throughout Australia and she has been accepted as a member of the Perth Society of Artists. |
| Nonie Jekabsons | Nonie Jekabsons was born in Perth WA and graduated with a Diploma of Art and Design in 1992 from Central TAFE. She has been involved in several group exhibitions in Perth. Since the early 90s Nonie has been designing eco-friendly buildings and renovations and stained glass windows. She has always had a passion for photography and has recently returned to painting after a long break. The primary thematic focus of Nonie's visual art has always been the impact of human activity on the environment. |
| Patricia Hines | Patricia Hines received her Associate in Art and Design from Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1970 and her Associateship in Industrial Design from Gordon Institute of Technology, Geelong, Victoria in 1971. Since then Patricia has been teaching and exhibiting throughout WA and her work is represented both nationally and internationally in public and private collections.

| Patricia Verman | Patricia Verman holds a Diploma of Fine Art from the Claremont School of Art and a BA (Visual Art) from ECU. She has had many group, joint and solo exhibitions and won numerous prizes. Patricia's work is found in a number of public and private collections in Australia. |
| Patti Belletty | Patti Belletty first started pleating in 2001 after visiting the Palazzo Fortuny Museum in Venice. Her scarves and wraps celebrate the spirit of Fortuny and the ancient garments that inspired his genius, presenting easy to wear options that embody a timeless beauty. Patti was born and lives in WA and works in a local art gallery. |
| Peteris Ciemitis | Peteris Ciemitis is a twice Archibald finalist and multi-award winner. His works are held in public and museum collections in WA, Victoria and Latvia. Peteris' most recent exhibitions include a solo and two group shows in Sydney this year and will next exhibit in a solo alongside Esther Erlich at Gadfly Galleries this October.

| Pippin Drysdale | Pippin Drysdale is a celebrated West Australian ceramicist. She has been an Artist in Residence and given master classes throughout Australia and overseas and has held over forty solo and in excess of 300 group exhibitions worldwide. Her work is to be found in collections throughout the world. Pippin is inspired by the Australian landscape.

| Richard Holroyd | Richard Holroyd was born in England in 1940 and studied art by looking at the painters in great houses. He also studied art at Perth Tech from 1971 to 1974. He has won numerous awards and acknowledgements by fellow artists. Richard's philosophy in art is "A painter is measured more by what he does than what he says." |
| Rosalind Boyle | Rosalind Boyle has always had a strong creative impulse working with a number of mediums as a hobby over the years but beginning seriously in 2006 with oils and acrylics. After being involved with the reforming of the Bassendean Arts Council, Rosalind is currently the chairperson and holds weekend workshops through the BAC. She has also been teaching privately and exhibiting for the last 3 years. |
| Sandy Robertson | Sandy Robertson has a recognisable style of watercolour painting. Her subjects include landscapes, boats, flowers and buildings. Sandy's painting career has included teaching overseas and interstate. She is dedicated to promoting the beautiful art of watercolour and is the current plein-air coordinator for the Watercolour Society of WA. |
| Sean Morris | Sean Morris has been making a name for himself as an illustrator and artist in Perth since 2007. His drawings have been featured in numerous national and international publications and he has exhibited extensively in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and the US. Recent achievements include working for the New York Times and the Big Day Out, holding major exhibitions in California and being named one of the top emerging illustrators in Australia by "Creative" magazine. |
| Steve Clark | After finishing a Diploma in Graphic Art Design in 1971, Steve Clark spent 30 plus years in advertising then turned to fine art drawing and then on to painting in acrylics in 2008. He has works on display in galleries in the UK and in America and now paints full-time. |
| T. Brian Aylward | T Brian Aylward was born in 1939 at Warnham, West Sussex, UK and studied art part-time at Horsham Art School. He immigrated to WA in 1968 and has always been stimulated by the Australian light and countryside. Since 1990, he has been a full-time artist working from his studio at Wooroloo. Brian had appeared in "Australian Artist" and has presented many talks and workshops and taught art at TAFE. His art can be found in private and corporate collections around the world. |
| Vivienne Peters | Vivienne Peters graduated from Claremont School of Art in 1984. From 1987 to 1994 she lectured in Fine Art at TAFE while painting and exhibiting her own work. From 1994 to 2004 Vivienne lived in Spain working as an artist and musician during which time she had solo exhibitions in Spain, Holland and Amsterdam as well as participating in mixed exhibitions. Since returning to Australia, she has been exhibiting regularly. Being a musician, Vivienne is very aware of the correlation between music and painting. Both art forms set moods by conveying abstract values of colour, composition, light and movement. |
